Also, the Guwahati zoo offers an insight into its rich and varied wildlife, where you can see the deer are roaming around and monkeys are hooping from one tree to another freely. On the next day of Golkonda Visit, we headed towards the Charminar – Arc De Triomphe of the East, one of the iconic monuments standing in the heart of the Telangana. It is located to the east bank of Musi river with Laad Bazaar in west and Makkah Masjid to the south-west.

As we entered through the main gate… We were surprised to see the monkeys sitting in each and every row of the steps. Some were fighting with each other, some were holding their babies in their lap as well as some were playing.

There were 2 to 3 vendors who were selling nuts for the monkeys. Every tourist bought that in a paper cone. We also bought 3 of them and as we crossed few steps upwards, the monkeys came in front of us and raised their hands towards us. We handed over the paper cone full of nuts and they happily went away. They didn’t harm any tourist.

A little outside of Kolkata, around 16 Km from Esplanade, the Bhavatarini Mata, an aspect of Kali Mata, founded a temple profoundly known as Dakshineswar Kali Temple situated on the eastern bank of the Hooghly River. The name Bhavatarini meaning ‘She who liberates her devotees from the ocean of existence i.e. ‘Samsara’.

Dakshineswar Kali Temple,formally known as Sri Sri Jagadishwari Mahakali, built up by Rani Rashmoni, a philanthropist and a devotee of Kali on 31st May, 1855.
