As we entered through the main gate… We were surprised to see the monkeys sitting in each and every row of the steps. Some were fighting with each other, some were holding their babies in their lap as well as some were playing.

There were 2 to 3 vendors who were selling nuts for the monkeys. Every tourist bought that in a paper cone. We also bought 3 of them and as we crossed few steps upwards, the monkeys came in front of us and raised their hands towards us. We handed over the paper cone full of nuts and they happily went away. They didn’t harm any tourist.

India is famous for its magnificent artistic works since bygone ancient period. Udayagiri & Khandagiri caves are a significant example of it. A few distances away from the town the twins stone Hills on both side of the road contains excavated Rock cut caves which are known as Lena in the inscription.

From the inspiration in Brahmins script, it came in the highlight – these caves are actually from the time of Chakravarti king of Chedi dynasty, Kharavela.

In early period both caves jointly known as Kumaragiri. Later it gets divided and named as Udayagiri signifies “Rising Hills” and Khandagiri signifies “Broken Hill”.

We started our journey from Gopalpur. Leaving behind the historical place Brahmapur we were heading towards through a never-ending greenery mountain path which took us upward in a circular way. Daringbadi – Kashmir of Orissa (Odisha)

Today, our destination is Daringbadi, a hill station under Kandhamal district in Odisha state of eastern India. Popularly known as Kashmir of Orissa. It is almost 118km from Brahmapur railway station and 250 km from Puri.

This place has a marvelous combination of plateau and hill in one hand along with full of Pine, Sal and Mahua forest on the other hand.

Each time when we are travelling,the experience becomes a diary for us–so we named it as Our Vizag Diaries (Day 4) (Matsyadarshini Aquarium & Visakha Museum).

After the amazing journey of the Vizag-Araku tour, we had only 1 day left in our hand. So there is no meaning of wasting the day inside the hotel room. Though we all were tired enough after completing whole day tour on day 2 and Vizag-Araku tour on day 3. Still our feet dragged us for exploring more new places of vizag. So we made a small enquire at the hotel travel desk and we get to know about a great aquarium named Matsyadarshini Aquarium and a museum named Visakha Museum. So let’s go for exploring. We dressed up quickly and rent 2 autos and started our journey.
